Bolton Easter Congress 2018.
Eighty two competitors attended the Bolton Easter Congress, held at the Bolton Ukrainian club from Friday March 30th to Sunday April 1st.
The FIDE Open ended in a 3 way tie between FM Joseph McPhillips, Mike Surtees and Ali Jaunooby on 4pts. Joseph had a 1 point advantage starting the final round but was defeated my Mike, so the first place was shared.
The first place in the Major was shared between Gogia Aman, Barry Hymer, David Patrick and Mark Whitehead on 4pts.
S Davin Silva, a visitor from India, won the Knights section on 4.5pts.
Busy Persons Blitz attracted 73 competitors with first place was shared between Joseph McPhillips and Mike Surtees.
